California has adopted on the spot leak detection in dispenser and man way sumps. We now offer a way to accomplish this and have supplied several testing contractors with our CLD systems. With the CLD, comes 3 or 4 magnetostrictive gauging probes with quick connect ports and mounting brackets, an OEL8000II, on/off switch, RS232 port, and power input all neatly displayed and encased in a pelican briefcase. This allows for portable testing of man way or dispenser sumps. 

This simple procedure begins by filling the sumps with a testing solution, mounting the MTG probes by the suspension chain (provided) over angle iron and then attaching it to an easily accessible quick connector. The system then gets turned on and the operator can view the leak at the rate of **** on the screen or remotely via the RS232 port. The OEL8000II system can will then print the results for a hard copy to supply station owner or regulator.
